Liam is a star! What he doesn't know about nutrition and exercise is probably not worth knowing. To be honest when I first read about Liam's weight loss plan I was my usual sceptical self and thought it would be just another diet that wouldn't be practical for a man whose working hours are never the same and spends a fair chunk of the day driving. After some time I thought I might as well give it a go as I wasn't getting any thinner doing nothing about it! I soon discovered that my initial assumptions couldn't be more wrong. I met Liam who was very friendly and helpful (nothing like those sergeant major types on TV!). He worked out an exercise programme that would make me sweat a bit but wouldn't be impossible and painful!

The biggest surprise of all was the personalised nutrition programme. I expected to be faced with the usual rabbit food to eat, but no... none of it. I could still eat the foods I like and even go out for a few beers on Friday night! This made me realise that this was a healthy eating plan rather than a diet. The plan has been so easy to adapt to and now it just seems like normal to me. I forget sometimes that I'm even trying to lose weight until I see myself in a mirror and realise just how much weight has fallen off. The nicest thing of all is when I bump into people I haven't seen for a while. The look of astonishment on their faces and the nice things they say make it all worth while!

Like most people I knew about the benefits of good nutrition and exercise, but as my family and work life got busier I soon forgot to ensure that I followed this good advice. I needed a little extra help and support, which is why I called Liam. My weight loss programme not only gave me the opportunity to refocus time for myself, but also got the family to think and act healthily too. I decided it was time to do something when I saw my holiday photos. I couldn’t believe I was the person in those pictures! I could always find excuses not to go to the gym, so I decided a personal trainer might work for me and I found Liam... After his first visit I knew I had made the right decision. I love to cook, and eat, but I’ve never monitored what I was eating. Liam taught me to take more notice of what I was eating and to ensure the portion sizes were correct. I had no excuses not to go the gym, because I didn’t have to! I feel empowered through this, knowing that a few simple changes to my lifestyle can make me feel so much better in myself. I cannot believe I didn’t do this sooner!
